Cloves

Botanical name: Syzygium Aromaticum

Our cloves come from the Northeast region of Madagascar. We supply largely for the Indian market for foodstuff purposes. Due to a large network of collectors, we access the most remote areas, and compensate the isolation of farmers.

The harvest for cloves starts in early October until November. Its quality is better at the beginning of the crop — less headless cloves and the colour is entirely brownish. The quality changes around January — headless becomes over 12% and the colour trends to blackish.

Our cloves production size from 2022 crop is estimated for 13,000 MT while the carryover crop stock from year 2021 is estimated at 6,000 MT.
